Judging and Awards

A briefing session on competition rules and judging will be held online before the competition. A scoring rubric will be given during the briefing.

Presentations will be judged based on the following evaluation criteria:

• Description of new applied physics, quality and technology concepts

• Innovation-related discussion followed by a question-and-answer session that will be evaluated by a panel of judges

• The research on the aspects of quality, novelty, and significance of contribution.

• The presentation of the research, including visual aspects of the poster.

• The presenter’s verbal discussion via a short presentation of their research.

The following are the prizes being contested:

• Gold Medal

• Silver Medal

• Bronze Medal

All winners will receive a medal and a certificate for each group. Each order of additional medals will be charged RM50, and additional certificates (hard copies) will be charged RM10 (excluding postage fee). No electronic copy certificate is provided.

Winners will be announced on the same day during the Closing Ceremony which will be held in the evening.

The decisions of the organizers and judges are final, and any objections will not be entertained. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the winnings if any fraud is found.
